Job Description
Working as part of a small team based in the UK and France the role is primarily to provide technical support and training for Teledyne Controls wide range of avionics products to commercial airlines and military customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role is desk based with around 40% of the time spent travelling onsite to customers within the region and can be based at our Cumbernauld, Heathrow or Toulouse facility.
Main duties and responsibilities
Provide technical support for all our products to customers throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East as necessary, in person and remotely. This includes hosting formal training sessions.
Travel within the region is required to perform customer visits, training courses and product installations.
Install and/or conduct planning with customers for on-site installation of equipment and follow established testing procedures to ensure proper working order.
Train and instruct customers in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
Deliver technical presentations utilising a strong knowledge of company products.
Provide advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical support to engineers, technicians and customers as required.
Tracking and reporting of customer issues to help identify trends and suggest effective solutions and improvements to products and procedures.
Identify and generate sales opportunities, liaising with the Regional Sales Director.
Input and management of case data to Salesforce
Availability outside of normal working hours when necessary to respond to AOG calls, urgent customer needs or reach goals and deadlines
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Degree level Electronic Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum five years’ experience in an avionics related position
Desirable:
Knowledge of Teledyne products
Previous experience in a technical support role
Previous experience of Flight Data Analysis. Understanding of principals of flight and aeronautics.

A solid understanding/knowledge of computer systems, including Windows operating system, web applications, databases and end-user applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
