Job Description

Job Summary:

Teledyne Aerospace Electronics is seeking a Vice President of OEM Solutions . In this role, the VP of OEM Solutions will initiate and lead the efforts to expand Teledyne Controls business with the OEMs, Airbus, Boeing, other airplane manufacturers and strategic Tier 1 Avionics suppliers, to maximize Teledyne’s operating performance and achieve financial goals. This position will also provide oversight of the Teledyne Battery’s business with OEMs. The successful candidate will have responsibility for growing all aspects of the OEM business, including building relevant executive level customer relationships, identifying, and capturing new business opportunities, participating in the development of product roadmaps and strategy and leading OEM Sales, Marketing and Business Development activities.

Detailed Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Identify and monitor competitors, expansion opportunities, customers, OEMs, markets and evolving industry developments and standards.

• Collaborate with other Teledyne entities and other partners and resources to research market needs and identify new product ideas.

• Establish and maintain a strong network of relationships within the industry.

• Proficient in financial analysis and establishing budget and action plans.

• Hands-on experience strategizing, negotiating, and closing complex deals.

• Ability to operate at both a strategic/conceptual level and at a detailed, operational level

• Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.

• A hands-on, action-oriented approach that fits well with the company culture.

• Engaging leadership style that builds and sustains credibility with staff, colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.

• Ensure departments within the organization reach goals within budget, on schedule and with a high level of quality.

• Building and maintaining a strong relationship with customers at the senior management level.

• Monitoring industry trends and identifying strategic growth initiatives.

• Expand the funnel of business opportunities by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with OEMs and Tier 1 companies.

• Be able to build and lead a highly effective cross-functional team.

• Contributing to sales innovations, strategic business development, and the profitability of the company.

• Developing and successfully executing an Entry-into-Service (EIS) for initial product field deployment in coordination with the various functional stakeholders.

• Assisting in maximizing the company's operating performance and achieving its financial goals.

• Assisting in managing the company's finances, identifying ways to increase revenue and decrease costs, analyzing financial reports, and preparing operating budget.

•Reviewing and signing documents and making commitments for which the company is legally liable.

•Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of other employees and managers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a related discipline and at least 15 years’ experience in the commercial aviation industry. MBA strongly preferred.

• Effective communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate and present at all levels of organization.

• Ability to formulate strong business case for Teledyne products and create complex and comprehensive proposals.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present effective presentations at the executive level.

• Prior experience as a hands-on executive in the commercial aviation industry, particularly with avionics equipment, strongly desired.

US Person/US Citizen required due to access to ITAR/EAR Controlled data.
