Our business requires an outstanding individual to join us to be responsible for increasing the company’s market share. Develop and execute pursuit strategies for high value infrared cameras. Lead the proposal process for all pursuits and support key customers by anticipating future customer requirements and needs to capture major programs. You will be working within a busy diverse Business Development Team as well as other departments such as product management, services, engineering, and compliance:

You will be… the Business Development & Sales Manager for Integrated Mission Systems - Defense which is instrumental in Teledyne FLIR’s company growth for Europe and the Eastern EU Market that is booming. We simply need boots on the ground to capture the growing Border and C-UAS market in Europe.

The position shall manage Business Development and Sales of Integrated Mission Systems in Europe with a regional responsibility and focus on Land, Sea, and Border projects and C-UAS which includes:

· Drive the increase of our sales and market share near term and at the same time developing increased long-term opportunities and Needle Movers cases.

· Engage with Government customers and organizations such as MOI, Border Police, Frontex, NSPA and MOD organizations with purpose to gain knowledge about capability gaps we can close with Integrated Mission Systems as well as opportunities to increase their mission effectiveness. The objective is to know these customers and their problems to the extent that it can become an advantage for us when designing solutions, and to create a pull and preference for Teledyne FLIR Integrated Mission Systems.

· Engage with relevant Systems Integrators, Installers and similar companies that can be partners and /or buyers of Integrated Mission Systems and products. The objective is to ensure that complete competitive solutions with relevant Integrated Mission Systems content is offered to Government customers with high probability to win and execute projects. It is also an objective to become a preferred supplier to relevant System Integrators and form partnerships where it makes sense for the business.

· The candidate shall bring initiatives from live demonstration and customer face to face meetings supporting sustainable growth in revenue, as well as customer satisfaction, while maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales.

· The role will have quantified bookings goals including both near term Sales and long-term Business development.

· Experience and knowledge from working in a System Integration company, with Border and/or Defense projects is an advantage as well as experience from working with projects that are internationally funded, for example via UN, FMF and/or managed through FMS.

· The role is also expected to be capture lead and pursue large program pursuits, supported by a cross functional capture teams.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

· Be a key individual contributor in a collaborative European team, executing TDY FLIR’s objectives, with principal focus on the growing market in Eastern Europe.

· Conduct regular analysis of market needs and competitive scenarios, providing feedback to management.

· Promote, develop, and conclude sales of Teledyne FLIR Defense Integrated Mission Systems to OEMs, Government customers, end users, and integrators across the region.

· Identify and develop business partners in the Eastern Europe region to support the long-term sales growth of Teledyne FLIR Defense.

· Develop strategies and options favorable to Teledyne FLIR Defense, to capture business opportunities in the region.

· Manage the sales and business development process with an emphasis on predictable growth and success in orders capture.

· Support operational execution including licensing requirements, CRM, administrative tasks, etc.

· Be the main POC for assigned customers and end users, from order capture through post-sales support.

· Manage sales pursuits within the region including regular monitoring and timely responses to RFQ, RFPs, demo requests, and information requests.

· Set and meet or exceed booking forecasts for assigned customers and territories.

· Support tradeshows, demonstrations, and other public-facing events as scheduled

· Analyze the customer’s market potential, funding, and equipment needs to prioritize efforts.

· Provide input for next generation product development plans and initiatives.

· Follow up with customers on existing and potential opportunities.

· Achieve sales targets within schedule.

· Ensure customer satisfaction and manage customers questions, concerns, inquiries, offers, orders, and overall timely responses.

· Be a part of a larger team and organize support for own tasks and initiatives as well as support peers in their tasks and initiatives.

Job Qualifications:

· The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate solid experience in a similar defense working environment and Original Equipment Manager (OEM) markets and localization requirements.

· Experience from working in a System Integration company, with Border- and/or Defense projects is an advantage as well as experience from working with projects that are internationally funded, for example via UN, FMF and/or handled through FMS.

· Proven experience with capture lead and/or sales in the Land, Sea, and Border surveillance and/or military market space is required.

· Proven experience you understand the underlying business principles, sales processes, and a demonstrated ability to understand technical factors associated with our products and markets.

· Understanding and experience from Program and Project management is an advantage.

· Proven experience with EO and thermal imaging markets is advantageous.

· The successful candidate will have the ability and experience to work at all levels of a customer or end user organization.

· As well as being technically adept, you will have experience of selling through Government tenders and competitive bids using strong persuasive oral and writing skills. Experience from creation of winning proposals for large and/or complex integrated projects is an advantage.

· Existing relationships with key customer segments.

· Strong leadership ability with advanced communication and presentation skills.

· The role requires good English language skills and additional Eastern European and Balkan languages would be a strong advantage.

· Understand business and marketplace activities, behavioral norms, and competitive pressures.

· Familiarity with CRM practices.

· Ability to build productive professional business relationships.

· Able and willing to travel 50%.

· Highly motivated and target driven.

· Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.

· Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.

· Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs.

This role will be homebased, and we will consider those residing in Sweden or Eastern Europe.

This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e., regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
