Job Description

Job Summary:

Cooler Production Technician: Performs precision mechanical assembly for Cooler production. Performs the required processes of cleaning, documenting, and testing of Cooler parts, subassemblies, and finished goods. Utilizes production tooling, computers, and specialized equipment required for production and material/WIP tracking. Identifies and documents discrepant material. May complete rework on discrepant material or RMA material as required. Performs final verification testing and pack-out for Cooler assemblies. Interacts with Coworkers, Managers, and Engineering for Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement efforts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Precision mechanical assembly and precision adhesive application following work instructions

  • Part inspection and metrology – (microscopes, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)

  • Operation of Cryogenic purge and fill systems

  • Use of multi-meters and precision test equipment

  • Use of thermal and environmental chambers

  • Helium leak detection using helium mass spectrometer

  • Set up of test equipment per test specifications

  • Perform measurements and tests from test procedures and document results

  • Complete required documentation for travelers and computer WIP tracking

  • Assist Engineering in developmental processes, as necessary

  • Support Tool Design & implementation, as necessary

  • Documentation and/or Rework of discrepant material

  • Aqueous ultrasonic cleaning operations

  • Miscellaneous support functions, as necessary

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate orally, read, and write using the English language

  • Ability to work using hands and have good manual dexterity with attention to detail

  • Basic computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word

  • Must be able to visually inspect small parts

  • Must be able to use small hand tools like tweezers, hex keys, and probes/picks

  • Must be able to use a microscope

  • Must be able to use hands to move and assemble very small parts and fastening devices

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

  • Must possess U.S. Citizenship or valid U.S. Permanent Resident Alien (“Green Card”) Status

Desired skills:

  • A.A. or A.S. degree or equivalent experience (e.g., military training) desired

  • 5 years related experience with electro-mechanical assembly desired

  • Mechanical and electrical concepts

  • Ability to read and understand written test procedures

  • ESD procedures

  • ISO 9001 experience – preferred

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee, or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Salary Range:

$42,680.00-$56,980.000
