Job Description

Teledyne Microwave UK are offering a fantastic opportunity to the right candidate with their Supply Chain Apprenticeship available at Firth Road in Lincoln.

This is an apprenticeship where you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring supplies and materials flow through the business with minimal disruption to manufacturing and Logistics

You will spend up to four years working around different products and processes, gaining knowledge of our supply base and product requirements, then use this experience to pursue a permanent role within our Supply Chain Team.

After you’ve completed your apprenticeship and achieved your qualification, you can progress further still by training to become a Procurement / Supply Chain Professional.

Career progression through professional procurement / supply chain qualifications within the organisation is encouraged, with the option of subject specialisation and further education to degree level.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain good relationships with microwave design engineers, technical authorities, and other departments.

  • Booking in and allocation of completed customer orders.

  • Carrying out and ensuring all data transactions on the system are correct.

  • Working with our stores team to ensure manufacturing material demands are met in a timely manner.

  • Raising nonstock purchasing requisitions.

  • Responsible for greeting any visitors to site and informing their host on arrival.

  • Ensuring site provisions for key visitors when required.

Desired Skills / Qualifications:

  • Maths and English Grade A-C or 9/4.

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.

  • Basic computer literacy and experience of using MS Office.

  • Ability to work within a team.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Adaptable and flexible.

  • Able to work on own initiative.

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
