Job Description

The Software Engineer develops and validates automated test programs for manufacturing testing. Will be responsible for PCB, Assembly and final product testing. Testing will include functionality, safety and quality validation requirements. Will be responsible for electrical, pneumatic and mechanical functional testing determined by quality and engineering teams.

Results Expected:

  1. Develop automated test equipment and fixtures for manufacturing

  2. Work with engineering and software teams for controls and software functional testing

  3. Record testing data and produce summary reports detailing outcomes.

  4. Perform product testing related to manufacturing issues, product improvement and product improvement activities.

  5. Develop documentation on projects: schematics, flow charts, manual input, etc.

  6. Assemble and wire test units and prototypes. Modify or make parts for testing.

  7. Design and build test equipment per agency compliance requirements.

  8. Other specific duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

BSEE or a BS in Computer Science with 3-6 years professional experience or advanced degree with 0-3 years professional experience. Preferably, experience should be in the design of imbedded micro-processor electro-mechanical products. Must have the ability to program in "C", or other applicable high level languages, have a demonstrated ability to program in assembly language and interface to peripheral devices with real time operating systems and have experience in telecommunications applications. A working knowledge of electronic logic circuit design is required. Eight years relevant additional experience is required in lieu of a degree.
