About Us:

At our Manufacturing facility in Newbury, Berkshire, the Teledyne Reynolds (Part of Teledyne Technologies) Engineering team design custom Interconnect Solutions to carry signals from High Voltage Power Supplies to some of the most advanced technologies on the planet, and even beyond.

Working with the biggest Defence Prime contractors in Europe, we are proud to play a part in keeping our NATO pilots safe by powering their cockpit technology and radar systems.

With the Semi-conductor market in higher demand than ever, our products which aid the inspection and quality assurance of the chips, are advancing with new designs and test requirements.

Our Engineering team and Production Operators have been directly involved in designing, building, and getting hand’s on with products that are now roaming the surface of Mars, orbiting the Sun and about to be launched to land on an asteroid. Due to high performance over recent years, we are now looking to expand our team as a result.

With strong outlook in our Defence, Commercial and Space markets, plus the worlds push to ‘Go Green’ with renewable energy, our new product development is a key focus.

What is the opportunity:

Do you have management accounting experience? Looking for a position that will help drive and shape a business?

We currently have a Management Accountant position at Teledyne Reynolds UK. Part of the wider TADE UK group of Teledyne Technologies you will report directly to the Financial Controller and be part of the wider UK Finance structure across TADE UK sites

What you'll be involved in:

You will support the Financial Controller in the preparation of timely and accurate management information for Corporate and the senior Management team to enable informed commercial and strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing the monthly management accounts pack on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis and commentary

  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences/issues are identified, reported and resolved

  • Controlling Intercompany transactions/reconciliations

  • Monitoring projects for ASC606 compliance and monthly valuation of ASC606

  • Assisting with inventory valuation, analysis, reporting, control and annual stock counts

  • Monitoring performance against budgets/plan and reporting to the management team

  • Analysis of Sales and orders

  • Operational excellence reporting and control – MWC, DSO etc.

  • Margin analysis and 80/20 quad analysis

  • Assisting in the preparation of the weekly 80/20 reports

  • Approving RFQ’s and orders and working with the business team to ensure quote margins meet business plans.

  • Providing business support and developing financial models to provide financial insight and improve commercial awareness

  • Ensuring the integrity of the financial records, defining controls and procedures necessary to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results

  • Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts

  • Various ad hoc tasks

What we're looking for in you:

  • Candidates must be ideally CIMA or ACCA qualified or finalist

  • Degree educated

  • Excellent business partnering and communication skills demonstrating capability to influence and collaborate at a senior level

  • Ideally we're looking for you to have some experience of working with manufacturing/engineering aligned businesses

  • A continuous improvement mind set and strong systems capability, particularly with Excel (complex formulas, data analysis sets).

  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skills

  • Able to work autonomously

  • Driving license and an ability to travel is preferred.
