Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for ensuring manufacturing readiness for new products in all CETAC product lines. Responsible for overall quality control of products through the entire assembly process, final testing, inspection, and quality control of current assembly process and bills of material.
Provide technical leadership for new and existing product introduction by managing the transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing.
Assist in creating the Production documentation package for each new product by generating accurate production BOM’s in accordance with established product structure
Ensure that Manufacturing and Customer Service receive the required level of product training
Assist in the prototype build and debug process
Advanced trouble shooting on all product lines
Inspection of various electro-mechanical equipment
PCB troubleshooting to the component level
Quality control checks and proper documentation
Ordering of tools and supplies for the production area
Provide support to assembly department when required
Working with production to ensure workability in all products
Initiating process improvement tools
Maintain inventory control
Develop and maintain new assembly processes as needed
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Technical Associate degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years applicable experience
Ability to apply lean 6s methodology to practices
Maintain and anayzing of company metrics
Basic understanding of fundamental circuit concepts, ability to debug circuit boards
Basic understanding of fundamental mechanical concepts, ability to identify design, manufacturing and assembly issues
Basic understanding of the manufacturing product development processes
Demonstrates a proficiency in the use of common engineering test equipment, and the ability to learn more complex test tools and systems
Technical problem solving
Project experience transferring complex electronic hardware, firmware and mechanical products from development into manufacturing
Knowledge and experience of New Product Introduction processes. (i.e. Gate process, Time to Market, IPI. etc.)
CAD tools & Solid works would be a definite asset
Highly motivated team player
Experience:
3-5 years hand on manufacturing experience
Education:
Associates degree required. Bachelors Strongly Preferred
