Your contribution

TDY Surveillance systems is a world leader in the world of thermal cameras, such as land border cameras and thermal tank sights. We design, develop, and manufacture cutting-edge products, and work with industry leaders and government partners to deliver innovative, reliable, and easy to operate products and solutions.

As the workshop Manager of the Swedish service team, you develop our day to day process and find new approaches to optimize our turn around times while maintaining our strong customer care and renown within the Defense segment.

Together with your team, you will define and structure the workflow and take personal part in the various repair steps or products.

You’re responsible for optimizing the turnaround time of the department. You will lead a team of highly competent individuals, who you will coach. As part of your role, you will be trained in the art of repairing certain products as well as interacting with a range of professionals, including ranked members of the military, company executives, government officials and engineers. In addition, you work closely with our distributors.

Your job in plain text

• You will be part of the Surveillance Service team.

• You will divide management and repair work approximately between 60% management 40% repair

• You will be responsible for fulfilling our commitments to our customers and owners by delivering high-quality service on our products on time.

• Lead and distribute the daily work and have direct personal responsibility for approx. 7 employees.

• You will also take care of your own cases in the workshop to maintain technical competence on the products.

• You will work with continuous improvements in the workflow

• You will work with risk mitigation through the spread of skills/knowledge of products, flexibility and efficiencies. This is to ensure that we can be predictable, reduce our costs and meet our commitments.

• You will have contact with other FLIR units and customers.

• Actively participate in and take own initiative to drive the department towards its goals.

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have

• Managed a smaller organization.

• Worked in a cross-functional work environment where frequent interaction between different departments and functions was common.

• Built up teams and created a good performance culture.

• Carried out recruitments of staff.

• Worked in the service industry/Repair shops.

• Interest in technology/history of working with our technology.
